Welcome to the Turpial Project

Turpial is a project that aims to develop an alternative microblogging client for multiple platforms. Our goal is to consolidate an application beautiful, fast, lightweight and fully functional, integrated with the user desktop environment.

To accomplish this goal we have split our project into two important parts:

  • The Turpial UI, formerly known as turpial
  • The Turpial Core/Backend, known as libturpial

Is important to notice that each project has it own section for reporting bugs and follow changes.

Turpial and libturpial are open source and released under the terms of the GNU General Public License v3 (GPL).

Reporting issues or contributing

During the development cycle of an application, feedback becomes a really important part of the whole process. If you want to report or inform something about libturpial go to our Bug Tracking System, verify if the issue have been already reported and comment about it, otherwise make a brand new report with a detailed description of the situation and the expected response.

We encourage you to inform any bug or issue, also any new feature that you would like to propose to improve the user experience. Software development experience is not required for helping out, just check out the Contribute page to learn how.

This is the place where make all discussions about the project. If you want to be part of it or just want to keep you updated, sign up to the mailing list. It's a low traffic list, so you won't be spammed

IRC Channel

Somethings we spend time in our IRC chatroom. You can chat with us joining #turpial on the freenode IRC network. There you can ask questions or just hanging out.
